We’ve all had our moments when we first went to a new city and had no idea where to go or how to get there. This happens a lot to many tourists and now there is a solution to the frustrating task of hailing a cabbie and then telling your foreign driver where to go.

Taxiwiz.com is the friendly, english literate place, that will prompt you with a Google map filled with the information requested and also gives an estimate of the price to make sure you are never held without enough money. As of now, TaxiWiz is only available for eight major cities including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, and San Diego. Eventually, there will be more cities available for your choosing. One last important feature is that this site is available on a cell phone, so it is accessible whenever and wherever it is needed.

I like the idea of this site, it looks to be a good way to make sure you can always get where you want in the busy streets of various cities. Any opinions?

Recently, Nissan had created a concept car that could detect how sober, or how not sober its driver was. Cars have taken appropriate measures to become, let’s say smarter, in a few different ways. Now, researchers at the University of Manchester are working on to install a on-board system to check your cars emission of pollution. The genius people have designed a somewhat infrared laser than can detect carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and methane from your car’s exhaust. With global warming threatening to destroy the earth one day, this a good feature to help prevent us living on Mars for a while. The researchers hope their device thing can be incorporated into your car’s systems and alert you when their cars’ pollutant levels get critical and hope you take it easy on the driving. I think this is a good idea and start in preventing pollution. Any opinions?

No idea what the picture is, but feel free to figure it out.

Actually close to 90% of Americans want texting while driving to be banned. Ever since cell phones became really popular, texting became just as popular. Since then it seems that wherever you look, you will always see people texting. In order to text, you would have to look at your tiny cell phone screen and then press buttons enabling you to drive one handed and quick glances back and forth. 91% believe that texting on the road is just as dangerous as making a call. I agree with these people, driving and texting or even driving and calling is very dangerous and would result in a lot of accidents. Let us know your input, feel free to comment on this post.

One man in Houston has gone so far to beat that that some people might think he’s crazy. This man is not crazy, he is just desperate a little low on the green stuff. Instead of spending the necessary 1200 big ones to fix his car’s a/c, he decided to add on a standard home a/c unit. By the time he was done, he managed to create a very ugly car, and not to mention a non-environmental friendly car either. Now, it increases the amount of gas the car consumes as well as it drains its battery. Nice car man!
